So you’re pregnant and want to have professional pregnancy photos taken. Now what? When does this happen? Where do they all get those beautiful dresses? What if I don’t like being in front of the camera, I feel huge, and I’m not comfortable?
STOP! Read this, I am here to help you with this. I have been pregnant three times, and for each of my pregnancy photos I had a different experience. My first pregnancy I felt huge. Looking back I was not at all, but I didn’t know any better. In fact, I was worried I would be so huge I did my session around 28 weeks and I barely had a belly. Ha! If I only knew my subsequent bellies would be larger than that!
The best time to schedule your maternity session is around 32-37 weeks. This ensures you have a nice round belly but are still comfortable enough to walk around your location. As for the those dresses? I have them available for you in my Client Closet. You are welcome to come over and try them on prior to your session, or I can just bring some with me. Most people will fit into a size medium (pre-pregnancy size 8-14). Believe me, you are beautiful when you’re pregnant, even if you aren’t feeling like it right now. I can help you find a makeup artist if you’d like, but I promise to guide you, pose you, and make if fun and as comfortable for you as I can. That’s my job. Your job is to show up! For more information on my maternity session pricing and packages please see the pricing guide.
When you book your session I give you not only dresses, but a location guide to help you choose which area of Denver you would like your maternity session to take place. The featured photos here are from the east trail head of Mount Falcon. Colorado offers so many beautiful places to take photos – you’re never out of options!
